As I look back, I realize, I was always a nurse, even in my childhood. I discovered my passion for health and healing through my inspiration of my high school health teacher and got my first job as a nurse’s aide in a nursing home. I began my journey in college and earned my Bachelor’s of Science in Nursing degree from Alfred University, in New York State in 1984. In 1991, I also earned her Master’s of Science degree in Art Therapy in 1991 from State University College of Buffalo, Buffalo, New York. Several years ago I also earned her Master’s of Science degree in Nursing from New Mexico State University in Adult Psychiatric and Mental Health Nurse Practitioner.

After graduation, I became Board Certified as an Adult Psychiatric/Mental Health Nurse Practitioner with the national certification board, the American Nurse Credentialing Center. In addition, I hold another board certification with the American Holistic Nurse’s Association and is a Holistic Nurse-Board Certified. I am currently studying about herbs and the amazing healing properties they offer medicinally.

I believe that we are not “compartmentalized beings” but that when we have emotional/mental distress it effects our whole self. With that, I believe in providing a healing environment that manifests healing and wholeness of our being. I believe that health comes from within and when we create an internal and external environment conducive to healing we will achieve a greater sense of balance in our lives. I offer clients an opportunity to identify and achieve their personal goals on various levels including emotional, physical and spiritual. Through all of this, the personal journey of health and healing can be fulfilled.
